A resident was on hand to document the demise of yet another house in the Hawthorne Eco Village, and sent me photos. Initially, there was some confusion over which house this was, and I'm not sure the confusion is cleared up yet...
The resident believes the house in question is 3112 6th St. N. However, until I lay eyes on the bare spot of ground and do a little research, I'm not convinced it wasn't one house NORTH of 3112 6th St. N, which is 3114 6th St. N. I think 3112 6th St. N. went down a while ago, unremarked and unmourned.
Currently, I'm in Alexandria, Minnesota, after doing a little truck driving to South Dakota. But even from Rudy's Red Eye Bar and Grill at the Alexandria Holiday Inn, I can fight for my NoMi neighborhood and get the word out about what is happening.
Another house down. The relentless, unstoppable revitalization tsunami roars over all in its path.
