This blog previously reported that "apparently" no dead body was found at 2818 Morgan Ave. N., and thank goodness I used that word "apparently" as per my formal journalistic training.

Though a broken door and an agitated white male was indeed the focus of police as I watched along with the Chair of the neighborhood association, and though we saw no body removed as we observed, well, um, it turns out...

There was indeed a body at the scene. I now have a copy of the police report, and here are the pertinent details about the body at 2818 Morgan Ave. N., as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Officers responded to a DOA at the listed location. Officers arrived and observed that the rear door had been forced open. Inside the residence with the assistance of fire and ems, officers observed OT1 deceased in the upper level. 710 and car 21 responded to the scene. Medical examiner responded and retrieved OT1. Board arrived and secured the south side door.

Sgt. Freundschuh was notified of the situation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It turns out the "agitated white male" was David Wayne Niedzielski of 2922 Morgan Ave. N., age 28, and he was arrested for kicking in the door and burglarizing the residence.

Unknown if the burglary charge stems from merely the door-kicking, or whether Niedzielski is accused of THE SICK AND MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE CRIME OF ROBBING THE DEAD, but the report says he "ransacked" the house.
